Stephanie was leading the project on light-sensing with cobalamin-binding domains and our paper appeared today in Angewandte Chemie Int. Ed.!
This work was a fantastic collaboration with Manuela and Martin from the CCRI – congrats everyone!
You can find the paper here.

It is that time of the year again!

Michael will continue a long tradition of shared Masters students with the group of Michael Grusch from the Institute for Cancer Research of the Medical University of Vienna!
We welcome him and wish him all the best for his thesis project!
Unfortunately, it’s time to say goodbye to Inma, whose time with us ends this week. You were an enrichment for us as a group as well as for the whole institute. It’s hard to see you move on, but we wish you all the best for your future!
¡Muchas gracias por todo!
Dear Inma, thank you so much for everything you have done for the group in the past years. As you may have noticed, the group you joined and the group that now sees you go are very different. Much of our development and success has to be credited to your enthusiasm, work ethic, knowledge and skills. Me, my group and the whole DOTS team will be missing you very much. Harald
Congrats to Steffi for passing her “Quals” today!
We are very proud that you join us – let’s make light-activated traps a reality!

Welcome, Christina!
Christina, who joins us from NEB, will be supporting Andi on the TWIST project.
It’s great to have you and good luck!
Her work on artificial synapses earned Catherine the best poster award in the categories “Systems and Synthetic Biology“ and “Single Molecules and Membranes“.
Congratulations!
